The Synopsis

Red Riding 1974

Young journalist, Eddie Dunford (Andrew Garfield) investigates a series of child murders that are plaguing the  Yorkshire area in England. Eddie becomes increasingly convinced that there is a connection between the murders and the local police force.

As Eddie delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of corruption and brutality that goes all the way to the top. As the body count rises and the pressure on Eddie increases, he becomes increasingly desperate to get to the truth. However, he soon realizes that the forces working against him are more powerful than he ever imagined, and that his own life may be in danger.

“Red Riding: The Year of Our Lord 1974” (alternative title) is a gripping and intense thriller that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. It is the first installment in a trilogy of movies based on David Peace’s Red Riding Quartet novels. Andrew Garfield has cameos in the other 2 films.
