STAGE – Beautiful Thing 2006
The plot, which is set on an inner-city housing estate, centers on the friendship between Jamie (Andrew Garfield) and Ste, two classmates and neighbors, as well as the slowly growing love between them. Together, the two boys discover humor, warmth, and Mama Cass music through their loud-mouthed next-door neighbor, Leah, as well as Jamie’s mother, Sandra, the neighborhood bartender, and Tony, her neo-hippy boyfriend.
