STAGE – The Tales of Ovid 2001

Ted Hughes’ adaptation of The Tales of Ovid was the final production by this incredibly gifted “A” Level Drama group for their final exam at the Freemen’s School in Ashstead, Surrey, which included Andrew Garfield, Faye Winter, and Karina Cornell in their final school performances before beginning their acting careers. Designed by Barbara Tong and directed by Phil Tong, this classical theater production has a distinctly contemporary feel. The key to comprehending the past—and the present—is archaeology; when the past is uncovered, fragments of the present—and the future—appear.
