The Eyes of Tammy Faye
A close-up examination of the amazing ascent, fall, and salvation of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker (Jessica Chastain). The largest Christian television network and theme park in the world were founded by Tammy Faye and her husband Jim Bakker (Andrew Garfield) in the 1970s and 1980s. They were admired for spreading a message of love, acceptance, and prosperity. Tammy Faye was renowned for her impossibly long eyelashes, eccentric singing style, and enthusiasm to embrace people from all backgrounds. However, their meticulously crafted empire was quickly shattered by financial misdeeds, cunning competitors, and scandal.
