Angels In America
Prior Walter (Andrew Garfield), a 30-year-old New Yorker, is the protagonist of Angels in America, Tony Kushner’s story about a gay man whose life partner, Louis, abandons him when he becomes ill with AIDS. Prior changes from a man dying of AIDS to a man living with AIDS by the transcendent powers of visions by an angels. Along the process, a number of romantic and platonic relationships develop and end, and the play’s final social structure consists of a loose group of multigenerational, interracial, and LGBT friends and Prior wishing for “more life”.
